Mayor Scott Van Leeuwen Executive Branch

Marriott-Slaterville City is one of the few cities in Utah that operates under the "council-mayor" form of government. The powers of municipal government in Marriott-Slaterville City are vested in two separate, independent, and equal branches of municipal government consisting of the legislative branch composed of five city councilors, and the executive branch consisting of the mayor.

Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch in the city is in charge of the court system. Cities in Utah only handle traffic and criminal offenses up to and including class B misdemeanors. Traffic and criminal offenses that are within the jurisdiction of Marriott-Slaterville City are handled in the Justice Court. Criminal Cases are prosecuted by the City Prosecutor. Civil cases brought by or against the City are handled by the City Attorney.
